aaahh-News // 03/09

Hey there!

Months have passed and so it’s time to take a look at what happened and also what is
going to happen in the near future.

ne:o
First of all let us talk about our fabulous latest release “illoj” from our new friends ne:o. Since the release, there were nearly 2000 downloads and some nice reviews. It seems like there are a lot of people from Japan who are fascinated by “illoj”, but we also received feedback from Russia and the UK. For you guys, who haven’t heard of ne:o till now: Download their songs, put them on your mp3-player and enjoy the first warming shafts of sunlight in the upcoming spring to the full! Of course you can buy a physical copy of “illoj” too!
And then there is another ne:o output we got for you. You can now download the release-info from our site in the nearly extinct sorbian language. A slavic language
spoken since the 6th century in small parts of eastern germany – and by the ne:o guitarist Milan. This is a small contribution to save cultural diversity.

The Wind Whistles
Tom and Liza are in interesting waters right now and if you like, you can swim with them for a little while. Their new record is nearly finished and will be released in the early summer. But it won’t be a usual release. If you know them, you can imagine that they are planning something special! We are curious.
If you met them last year on their tour, you will surely do it again this summer! We can assure, you will. A lot of shows around Europe are planned and with a quantum of luck, there is going to be one in your city too.

Keyboard Rebel
Our aaahh-fellow Christian had a get-together with Mike from Keyboard Rebel in Manchester and recognized that the Rebels are absolutely charming people. So we are all very happy to welcome them for a one-week-tour from September 26th to October 4th in our fields. ; ) You will receive more updates about their first Germany-Tour soon.
A Story: Keyboard Rebel were approached by an intermediary working on behalf of the multinational corporation Danone about licensing the “Forest Song” as music for a website campaign they are launching in Belgium. Given Danone’s environmentally disastrous position as one of the world’s 4 main players in the bottled water market, they were quick to paraphrase the great Bill Bailey in responding: Hey Danone! We ain’t gonna be your bitch! Big up to the Keyboard Rebels for this one!!!

Entertainment for the Braindead
Julia is doing what she does best: writing wonderful new songs. Sadly, her harddisk broke down a few weeks ago. A lot of stuff and works are gone. But there are also good news! We released her Tour-Ep — it is named Seven (+1).
The attention she attracts for her delightful music won’t stop and so a mexican print magazine called R&R featured her in the current issue. We’re very happy with it and for her! Furthermore there will be two live-shows in Poland. One on the 24th of April in Lowicz and the second on the 25th of April in Poznan.

Last but not least: inside aaahh-records
We are very sad to say that one of us left the aaahh-family. Nathaly will be still one of our very best friends, but she decided to exert all her power in her great passion Africa. We’re wishing her all the best, great strengths and a lot of achievements for a better living on that amazing continent.

So, it is now six of us who try to rock this little boat, called aaahh-records.

Yours,
aaahh-records
