As some of you might already know, we have just released the wonderful, new album of Unifrom Motion, simply called Pictures. This intriguing piece of art, combining music and illustration is still available as a free download on our homepage. We are however not the only label supporting Uniform Motion. Despite global networking there will be as well an US- release of Pictures, provided by the likeable label No Source.
No Source is based in the US- state with the most complicated name (Massachusetts) and has been enriching the world with releases in all kinds of genres, mostly folk and several types of electro. Three Eps, two full length albums and one compilation are the result of one year of labelwork. In order to get a first impression of their musical approaches we would recommend you to listen to the compilation mentioned above: “Hey you, choose your own adventure” gives a good overview of the work and preferences of No Source.
Additional to the comparably similar musical programme it is the use of creative commons licences, which link No Source with aaahh. Pictures will be released under the same type of licence as with us (creatice commons by-nc). We are looking forward to a fertile and delightful cooperation with our American friends and would like to encourage you to take a look at their website an listen to the music they support.

Wie sicher bereits einige von euch wissen, haben wir am ersten Januar das wunderbare, neue Album von Uniform Motion veröffentlicht. Das Werk mit dem einfachen Titel Pictures ist nach wie vor als freier Download auf unserer Homepage zu finden. Wir sind allerdings nicht mehr das einzige Label von Uniform Motion. Trotz globaler Vernetzung gibt es nun zusätzlich eine US-Release von Pictures. Das sympathische Label No Source übernimmt.
No Source hat sein Hauptquartier im US-Bundesstaat mit dem schwierigsten Namen (Massachusetts) aufgeschlagen und bereichert die Welt seit dem vergangenen Jahr mit Veröffentlichungen aus den Bereichen Folk-Stuff, Electro-Something, Mellow-Zeug. Drei EPs, zwei vollwertige Alben und eine Kompilation sind bisher zusammengekommen. Als Einsteigerpaket ins Label würden wir gleich die genannte Kompilation empfehlen wollen: “Hey You, Choose Your Own Adventure” gibt einen guten Überblick über das, was No Source so treibt.
Neben einem musikalisch vergleichbaren Programm verbindet No Source und aaahh aber auch die Nutzung von Creative Commons-Lizenzen. Pictures wird bei No Source unter dem gleichen Lizenztyp (cc-by-nc) veröffentlicht werden wie bei uns. Wir freuen uns auf eine fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit mit unseren amerikanischen Freunden und legen ans Herz mal bei denen vorbeizuschauen.
