We are going to Denmaaahhrk

Maybe some of you are wondering what we do with the money you donate to us. There have been quite some donations and there are also many people who support us via flattr. We really appreciate this! The paypal donations you can give for your favorite release in high quality format (mp3, ogg, flac) we pass on to our artists. 80% of your donation go directly to the artist, we keep a share of 20% to maintain and improve the label. Flattrs we share 50/50. With our share we pay the server bills, print some stickers and posters and create some promotional copies on CD, we hope to be able to do more exciting stuff in the future.
We would like to be able to interact with the real world and even more important: we would like to meet our artists more often and we would like them to meet each other more often. That’s why we came up with the idea of launching an aaahh records workshop. We thought about renting a house for a week, inviting all our artists, make them bring some equipment and have a lovely aaahh records family get together and jam session. And that is exactly what we are going to do!
We booked a house in Denmark from September 3rd to September 10th 2011, it is near the sea, has room for almost 20 people and it is perfect for jamming, because there is nobody around, but us. We think about opening the house for some kind of aaahh records festival in the last days of our workshop, but we have to check this with the owner, of course. More news on this will follow as soon as we know for sure.
Since this stay costs us probably more than the regular donations and flattrs we get, we would be super happy to get an extra support for this project from you.

Goodbye Pinkle, Hello Bryyn
Bryn Martin, alias Pinkle has changed his artist name to Bryyn. We will not change the name in our release catalogue, because at the time Bryn has released his album “House Plants” he called himself Pinkle. But for future releases (we hope there will more of him soon) we will use his new name of course. So please reboot your harddisk and rewrite your memory: Pinkle is now Bryyn. New Pinkle songs and remixes

Since we put out new stems of Pinkles House Plants album each week, there are some really nice remixes dropping in our soundcloud account. It’s amazing to hear what people are doing with the tracks. We picked some of our favorite remixes so far and we are sure there are a lot more to come, so stay tuned. Bryn (Pinkle) has also created some new music, that he posted on his facebook page. EFTB & Pinkle on Blocsonics “netBloc Volume 31″
The latest blocsonic compilation looks back at 2010 and at the same time takes a look at what is going to come in 2011. Two of our artists made it on the “netBloc Volume 31″ compilation. Pinkles “Fractals” taken from his House Plants album and the great Entertainment For The Braindead “Run!” remix by Kraftfuttermischwerk, that is part of the Remix Is Love compilation. First Pinkle show in Germany
On saturday 11th of December, Bryn and Rachel played a show in Berlin at the Heroes Café. Thanks to everyone for coming there and special thanks to Dominique for helping to set up the show. Some lovely remixes bounced into our dropbox
Since we released Pinkles House Plants album we put out one remix kit a week. Each ZIP-file contains the stems, the original recorded tracks of a song, that are necessary to remix or rework/rearrange a song. The stems for “What I Hope” and “Quiet” have already been remixed. This week we add the stems of the song “It’s not working” to our remix directory and we can’t wait for your remixes to come in. Everything you need to know is written on the House Plants Remix site. Before you start your own remix, you are welcome to listen to some remixes that have been uploaded to our dropbox. (more…)
Some Pinkle News
First of all, we would like to thank everyone who downloaded, shared and recommended Bryns (Pinkle) music. There have been lots of tweets on twitter and shares on facebook. That’s awesome! Some people have also donated some money for a high quality download and flattred our releases, which is great! We are very happy how the first week of our relaunch turned out!
